Frequently asked questions
What does this page show?
Every coin that at least one listed mining pool mines: 513 coins across 818 pools right now. For each coin you see its price, network hashrate and 24-hour change, how many pools mine it, the largest pool with its share of the network, and when a pool last found a block.
What is the largest pool's share, and why does it matter?
It is the biggest pool's hashrate as a percentage of the coin's whole network. The bar turns red at 40% or more: when one pool holds that much of a network, miners are more exposed to that pool's outages and decisions. Where a pool's reported hashrate does not fit the network figure, we show a dash instead of a number.
How do I choose a pool for a coin?
Open the coin's row to see every pool mining it, with its hashrate, miners, fee and last block found. A larger pool pays smaller amounts more often; a smaller pool pays larger amounts less often. Over time the income is about the same, less the pool's fee.
How often is the data updated?
The table refreshes itself every 60 seconds, and a number flashes when it changes. Pool hashrate and last-block times are read from each pool's own published statistics where it has them; network hashrate and price are re-read throughout the day.
Why do some coins show a dash for network hashrate?
A coin mined on several algorithms, such as DigiByte, has a separate network for each algorithm and no single total, so this overview shows a dash; the coin's own page measures each pool against its own algorithm. A dash also appears when we have no recent reading.
How do I get my pool listed?
Use the "List your pool" link at the top of the page and tell us where the pool publishes its statistics. Once we can read them, the pool appears in the table.
