MiningBoard ("we", "us") operates miningboard.com as an informational site about cryptocurrency mining rigs, profitability, and GPU rental marketplaces. This policy explains what data we collect, why, and how we protect it.

We keep data collection minimal. Specifically:
- Anonymous usage data — page views, session duration, referring source, device/browser type. Collected via server logs and privacy-respecting analytics (no cross-site profiles).
- User-set preferences — electricity cost and preferred currency. Stored in a first-party cookie on your device. No account required; no personal identifier is attached.
- Affiliate click logs — when you click an outbound link to a partner, we record the click with a hashed IP + timestamp so we can measure partnership effectiveness. We do not store the raw IP.
- Contact form submissions — if you email us via the contact page, we keep your message for support purposes only.
2. Cookies
We use the following cookies:
- First-party session cookies — preserve your electricity-cost and currency preferences. No tracking across other sites.
- Third-party cookies from affiliate partners — when you click an outbound affiliate link, those services may set their own cookies under their domain. We do not control those cookies; see each partner's privacy policy.
You can disable cookies in your browser settings. MiningBoard works without cookies, but your preferences won't persist between visits.
3. Third-party services
MiningBoard aggregates data from publicly available sources across the internet and relies on a CDN for image hosting. When you browse the site, your browser only communicates with MiningBoard's servers + our CDN — aggregated data sources are queried server-side, not from your device.
4. How we use your data
- To serve the site (render pages, apply your preferences).
- To measure aggregate traffic and diagnose errors.
- To report anonymized click-through volume to affiliate partners.
We do not sell personal data and do not share it with third parties except as disclosed above.
5. Data retention
- Server access logs: 30 days.
- Affiliate click logs: 13 months.
- Contact form emails: as long as the conversation is active plus 12 months.
6. Your rights
You can:
- Clear your browser cookies to remove all local preferences.
- Email [email protected] to request deletion of any contact-form messages you've sent us.
- Opt out of analytics by enabling Do-Not-Track in your browser.
7. Children
MiningBoard is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from them.
