How to read this leaderboard
Highest absolute daily take-home isn't always the best buy — that's why payback is in the rightmost column. A B200 at $40/day net with 36-month payback can still be a worse buy than an RTX 6000 Ada at $9/day net with 26-month payback if you're capital-constrained. The leaderboard is sorted by daily net because that's what hits your bank account, but the payback column tells you whether you'd ever recover the capital.
When this list shifts
- New silicon ships. H200 and B200 displaced H100 from the top during 2025; H100 dropped 40% in capex over twelve months. Expect the same when B300 / next-gen consumer lands.
- Marketplace mix. RunPod community-tier expansion drives consumer-card prices down. Vast.ai bid wars push H100 prices down faster on weekends.
- Renter demand cycles. Stable Diffusion releases drive consumer cards up. New Llama / Mistral fine-tune tutorials drive A6000 / 4090 demand.
