Same owner, several pools

CKPool solo.ckpool.org, eusolo.ckpool.org, ausolo.ckpool.org, sgsolo.ckpool.org
MolePool btc.molepool.com, molepool.com
Cedric Crispin bitcoin.cedric-crispin.com, cedric-crispin.com

Splitting your hashrate across two pools with the same owner is not diversification.

Why this matters when you pick a pool

  • ▸ Concentration: an outage or policy change at one large company moves a big slice of the network, and your payouts with it.
  • ▸ One owner, many names: pools run by the same company share nodes, payout systems and fee policy.
  • ▸ Smaller pools need you more: pointing a rig at a smaller pool spreads the network out. Compare their fees and payouts on each pool's page.

Shares are of BTC's network hashrate (909.09 EH/s). The pools we read report 939.59 EH/s together, 103% of the network: the largest pools match the blocks they find, so the excess sits in figures we can't check that way.
