Pool Operators
Which companies control a coin's hashrate, once their pool brands are added together.
Who controls BC2 hashrate
14 pools · 2 belong to a company we've identifiedCompanies needed for a majority
No group of pools we read holds more than half.
If that few companies coordinated, or went down together, they would hold the majority of the network.
Listed vs private
We only mark a company as listed when we have a source for it. Everyone else is private or unconfirmed.
Same owner, several pools
No company runs more than one BC2 pool in our data.
Splitting your hashrate across two pools with the same owner is not diversification.
Why this matters when you pick a pool
- ▸ Concentration: an outage or policy change at one large company moves a big slice of the network, and your payouts with it.
- ▸ One owner, many names: pools run by the same company share nodes, payout systems and fee policy.
- ▸ Smaller pools need you more: pointing a rig at a smaller pool spreads the network out. Compare their fees and payouts on each pool's page.
