About MiningBoard
MiningBoard is an independent research site covering cryptocurrency mining rigs, GPU rental marketplaces, and the economics that sit between them.
What we do
We publish three things:
- Comparable profitability data — for every tracked ASIC and GPU, we compute daily revenue, host-net income after platform fees, break-even electricity cost, and payback period against current coin prices, network hashrate, and block rewards.
- Rental-market intelligence — median rates on Clore.ai, Vast.ai, RunPod, io.net, and other P2P GPU marketplaces, scraped every 5 minutes and deduplicated by GPU model.
- Guides — explainers on mining economics, rig selection, pool comparisons, and Bitcoin-halving-era topics.
How we source data
Every number on the site is aggregated from publicly available data across the internet — hardware specs, coin prices, network stats, pool telemetry, algorithm profitability, GPU rental rates, and web performance signals. We apply consensus rules so one noisy upstream doesn't skew the numbers.
How we make money
MiningBoard is supported by affiliate commissions from rental marketplaces, exchanges, and mining pools we link to. Commissions do not influence our rankings — the same profitability and reliability math runs for every provider whether or not we have a commercial relationship. See our Affiliate Disclosure for the full breakdown.
Who reads MiningBoard
Working miners — people shopping for ASIC or GPU hardware, comparing rigs, deciding what coin to mine at current rates, sizing electricity cost against income, and deciding between mining and AI rental for a given card. We write for that audience: concrete numbers, honest assumptions, minimal jargon.
Who we are
MiningBoard is an independent publisher. We operate without outside investors, never sell user data, and keep the product lean so every number on the site has a clear provenance. Our focus is a single question — "what does this rig actually earn?" — and everything we ship is in service of answering it honestly.
