FAQ
About the Rig Trends hub
What is the Rig Trends hub?
It's a one-glance dashboard showing where mining-rig profitability is moving across four device classes — ASIC, GPU mining, GPU AI rental, and CPU. The chart at the top plots the average revenue per rig per day for each class over the last 30 days.
Which window does each device class use by default?
ASIC, GPU mining, and CPU default to a 7-day window because mining profitability reacts to coin price and difficulty on a daily cadence. GPU AI rental defaults to 30 days because cloud GPU rates move slowly. You can switch on each sub-page.
Why are AI rental and GPU mining shown separately?
The same GPU can either mine crypto or rent out for AI workloads, and the two markets are driven by very different forces. We track them in separate streams so the deltas on each page reflect that market's signal, not a blended average.
How fresh is the data on this page?
Mover lists refresh every 5 minutes. The 30-day chart refreshes every 15 minutes. New RigPerformanceHistorical rows land hourly from the calc jobs.
How do I read the per-device cards?
Each card shows the total tracked rigs in the class, how many are rising, how many are falling, and the single biggest mover in each direction. Click into the card for the full table, the per-rig sparklines, and the new-arrivals strip.
